Roger Torri’s career in the wholesale HVAC industry began in 1979 at a large, Florida-based company. He first worked in the company’s warehouse and duct board shop, advancing to the sales counter, and eventually into an external sales role.
In 1995, Roger founded Manufactured Duct and Supply (MDS) in Norcross, GA with the help of his business partner, Kenny Simpson, and Eric Harris and Gerald Paige. The Company started with only five employees, 17,000 square feet of warehouse space, one delivery box truck, no computer inventory system, and a refurbished E215 Glass Master grooving machine. Nonetheless, on our first day of business, the duct board shop was fully operational and that single box truck was making deliveries to all areas of metro Atlanta.
MDS is now headquartered in Doraville, with two satellite warehouses in Duluth and Marietta. From our humble beginnings, MDS has expanded significantly; now having 35 plus employees, a combined 70,000 square feet of warehouse space, nine delivery trucks, and a fully operational duct board shop. We supply contractors throughout the metro Atlanta area and the Southeast with residential and light commercial HVAC supplies. And we will always be committed to great customer service.
Thanks to the support from our wonderful employees, customers, and vendors, our family-owned and operated business continues to grow.
Today three of the five original employees are still with MDS, including Roger, Eric Harris (Branch Manager at Duluth) and Gerald Paige. Kenny Simpson retired with MDS in 2014. Roger Torri remains the company’s President, and is joined by his daughter, Christa Shoukry.
